In the highest locations of the Hrubý Jeseník Mountains and the Králický Sněžník Mountains, there you can find the unoriginal izard (Rupicapra rupicapra), rarely there may wander off the Brown Bear (Ursus arctor) or the Wolf (Canis lupus). In forest there for example nest the Black Stork (Ciconia nigra), the Stock Owl (Bubo bubo), the Goosehaek (Accipiter gentilis) and rare the Boreal Owl (Aegolius funereus).

Rarely may you hear the Mountain Cock (Tetrao urogallus), the Heart Grouse (Tetrao tetrix), the Hazel Grouse (Bonasa bonasia) in the higher locations. The alpine meadows serve as rookery of small singing birds – the Rock Pipit (Anthus apinoletta) or the Alpine Accentor (Prunella collaris). Mountains invertebral species are fixed on these biotopes. From butterflies we can mention the Mountain Ringlet (Erebia epiphoron), the Sudetan Ringlet (Erebia sudetica), the Large Ringlet (Erebia euryale) or the Owlet-moth (Xestia collina), the beetles the Ground Beetle Carabus sylvestri or Carabus auronitens, the species Psodos alpinatus or Elophos vittarius.

In the peat bogs there fly about the Damsel-fly Aeschna subarctica and the Shiner lesklice severská (Somatochlora arctica), butterlfies are represented by the Moorland Clouded Yellow (Colias palaeno), the Canberry Blue (Vacciniina optilete) or the Lyonetia ledi.

Inside foothills streams there live the Brook Lamprey (Lampetra planeri) and the Noble Crayfish (Astacus astacus), on their banks there nest the Water Crow (Cinclus cinclus). In foothills meadows and grasslands there nest the Corn Crake (Crex crex) which sounds with a characteristic calling during the evenings. For its protection two bird areas “Králický Sněžník” and “Jeseníky” were pronounced within the Natura 2000 system. The karstic formations, the caves and a plenty of the old abandoned galleries, they are important biotopes for the Chiropterans. These places become important winter places for the Lesser Horseshoe Bat (Rhinolophus hipposideros), the Greater Horseshoe Bat (Rhinolophus ferrumequinum), the Large Mouse-eared Bat (Myotis myotis), the Bechstein's Bat (Myotis bechsteinii), the Geoffroy´s Bat (Myotis emarginatus) and the Barbastelle Bat (Barbastella barbastellus).
